The annual March for Life in Olympia was on January 22nd. Parishioners joined Fr. Francis, Fr. Vinner, Fr. Victor, and Fr. Zevi in showing their support for the rights of unborn children. 5,000 people from all over Washington state attended the March.
The Saint Jerome Minister & Volunteer Dinner was held at the Ocean Shores Elks Lodge. The Knights of Columbus also installed their newly elected officers in the Stephen T. Roman Council, #15689 in Ocean Shores and St. Dominic Assembly #3565.
Fr. Steve's 88th birthday celebration was held on June 25th at St. Jerome. His actual birthday on July 6th.
Members of the Fr. Stephen T. Roman, Knight of Columbus council assisted some Archdiocese of Seattle staffers move the items used in Priest Days 2017 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center.
Because of the weather, the Eucharistic Procession was moved to inside the church. At the end of Mass, Father Steve exposed the Blessed Sacrament in a monstrance and the Knights of Columbus council escorted the Blessed Sacrament around the church. Fr. Steve then offered Benediction.
The theme of the Memorial Day weekend dinner was "Honoring our veterans." This year there were two presentations, a flag folding presentation and a multimedia presentation that included our national Pledge of Allegiance.

Last September, Council 15689 dedicated three days at the Walmart in Aberdeen, WA and another weekend after Masses at St Jerome Catholic Church to raise donations for people with disabilities. In total, the Council raised $2633.41.
Special Olympics received $526.68; CCAP received $1053.36; and, St. Mary School Special Education Fund, Aberdeen, WA will receive $1053.37.
Coastal Community Action Program has programs in both Grays Harbor and Pacific counties. Its many activities include: in-home caregivers to seniors, the disabled, those recovering from surgery, and others in need of assistance in the safety of their home, encouraging independence, preserving dignity and protecting the privacy of those being assisted.
